Biography

Srihari Khoday always had great affection towards his grandfather Sri Khoday Eshwarsa. SriHari Khoday was influenced by his grandfather, who used to narrate a lot of inspiring stories including Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana. He always advised Srihari Khoday on simplicity, kindness and to get deeply involved in all activities. He used to make him understand not to differentiate between small and big works and to consider every work equally. He used to emphasize "Work is God."

Srihari, as a kid with his brothers was always inquisite about everything around him. He used to Experiment, Dismantle, Assemble and Recreate things around him. Srihari Khoday used to always take a lead role in a lot of social & cultural activities. From a very young age, He showed great quality in Team Building & leadership.

Sri Khoday Laxmanasa and Smt.Gangamma were great disciples of Sri Nityananda Swamiji of Ganeshapuri and instilled the same in their children. They used to regularly visit Sri Nityananda Swamiji at Ganeshpuri and stayed there for months. On one such occasion, Sri Nityananda Swamiji touched Sri Srihari Khoday on his head and blessed him. Srihari Khoday was an enlightened person spiritually after this. He started understanding a lot about body & soul, engineering, poetry, etc. Srihari Khoday was married on 22-04-1956 to Rajalakshmi and blessed with six children.

Srihari Khoday got involved in business at a very young age supporting his brothers. Together they established lot of new verticals like Distilleries, Brewery, Glass Factory, Tissue Culture, Hydro Power, Information Technology, Real Estate, etc.

Srihari khoday used to always experiment harnessing natural resources like Gravity, Hydro energy and on the atmosphere.

In the year 1983, Srihari khoday conducted Sri Gayathri Mahakoti yagna at Vajramuneshwara Estate in the outskirts of Bangalore. On the final day after the Mahamangalarthi, there was a heavy rainfall indicating the blessings of the Almighty. Srihari Khoday supported in building a lot of temples throughout India.

Srihari Khoday was also a great poet and has written thousands of poems in Kannada. To name a few are “CHINTANE”, “BHAVASPANDANA”, “MANASSINA ANISIKEGALU”, “MANASSINA ANUBHAVAGALU”, “MANASSU MEETIDA BHAAVA SANCHARA” in 2 parts and many.

Srihari Khoday produced Kannada feature films Santha Shishunala Sharifa","Mysoora Mallige","Nagamandala"& "Allama" - All films have received National recognitions and accolades. He also produced a Television serial "Eshwara allah neene yalla" for DD CHANDANA, more than 60 Music albums, few Documentaries, published many Books on Hindu mythology & penned few thousands of poems on various aspects of life.

Once Srihari Khoday met his Holiness Shree Kanchi Kamakoti Swamyji. Swamyji predicted that Srihari Khoday would build a temple in future. He was surprised by this prediction. After a few years, Srihari Khoday happened to know about a historic temple submerged inside the KRS dam. It was summer and the water level was so low that dilapidated temple was visible. As his curiosity grew, he visited dam site 'Kannambadi' and saw the dilapidated temple. He instantly decided to rebuild this shrine to its glory. He took permissions from the Government and planned for the immediate course of action. He arranged for the photographs so as to construct temple in the same way. Each and every stone was marked and numbered. He selected a suitable place for rebuilding the temple.

Bhoomi pooja was performed and the work started. This ancient temple was removed and shifted stone by stone. Srihari Khoday spent most of his time in a day in dismantling the left-overs. Within 13 days, the mammoth task of shifting was accomplished to satisfaction passionately. He planned the construction of this monument standing today, inch by inch with his full heart and soul.
Like a penance he dedicated a valuable decade and to his gratification the mammoth structure was standing at its best. The magnificent Sri Venugopal swamy temple is set beside the Kaveri river bank with lovely scenic beauty to adore. People from parts of the country cherish this temple shrine every day.

With his innumerable accomplishments, he was ever youth with his ideas and ideologies. He always felt that the AGE WAS A MERE NUMBER. Helped many to his heart. Encouraged the talented. Supported the needy. performed to his best at all times. HE HAD BEEN A GREAT HUMAN BEING and occupied a loveable space in the hearts of the people. Yajaman Srihari Khoday adopted the entire essence of Sri Bhagavat Geetha in his life and hence accomplishments and accolades have never bothered him to be himself and selfless.

It’s a bitter truth that everything should come to end in this mortal world. Yes, the hard truth was in front of every one. After ill-health for a year, on 31st of October 2016, He reached the lotus feet of the almighty. His mortal body only disappeared. But he lives forever through his greatness and achievements for a very very long period. No words can praise the stature of the Stalwart completely.
